Limericks
Limericks are five line poems that have one couplet and one triplet
The last word in lines 1, 2, and 5 rhyme with each other. These lines all have three beats.
The last word in lines 3 and 4 rhyme. These lines have two beats.

Limericks are usually funny!!!

Here is an example of a Limerick:
Clap the number of beats in each line as you listen to them being read!
Mrs. Connelly's class is great.
None of them do I hate.
What's that you say?
It's not even May?
They get out of school kind of late.
