This website was created by Kassie Berg. I am a freshman at Boston University majoring in Elementary and Bilingual Education. I built this website for Mrs. Connelly's second grade class at Alcott Elementary School in Concord, MA. The purpose of this website is to introduce the basic elements of a poem as well as different types of poems to students at the second grade level. With the help of this site students will learn to differentiate between the different elements of a poem as well as between the different types of poems. They will also come away from this site understanding that not all poems have to rhyme.
